Information Management Consultant
With over a decade of progressive experience providing data and information management (IM) advisory and consulting services to clients in several industries, Christy has a broad range of experience in Canadian technology consulting working with government, in the private sector for consulting firms Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers and presently, in a university setting. In addition to information management advising, Christy provides strategic insight on the implementation and use of a variety of information technologies aimed at creating the ideal information environment for clients.
Christy is presently pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD across the faculties of Business, Computer Science and Education in the area of optimizing data analytics and machine learning for innovation in education and online learning. Christy is a passionate researcher in inclusive learning as it relates to the design and implementation of information and learning management systems through an equity, diversity and inclusion lens and the associated privacy and ethical considerations.
Christy is the current Chair of the ARMA International Chapter Advisory Committee, having volunteered with ARMA for the past eight years. In this role, Christy works with a team of advisors to offer guidance and support to over 80 ARMA chapters around the world (arma.org). In addition, Christy served ARMA in the roles of Canadian Region Director and Canadian Program Director for over seven years with ARMA Canada Region, alongside a team of 12 regional board members to provide support to a national community of information professionals and 14 ARMA Canada Chapters.
